About CDL School Cost

CDL School Cost is published by NH Media LLC. We compile public federal records on CDL training so you can see what a program costs, how long it runs, and whether a location is on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.

The directory currently lists 6,598 schools. The median published tuition is $4,700 across 2,218 programs on the U.S. Department of Labor eligible-training list, retrieved November 1, 2026. Registry locations are from the FMCSA file dated October 31, 2026.

We are not a trucking school, a carrier, FMCSA, or the Department of Labor. We do not enroll students, take calls for schools, or guarantee a license or a job. A price on this site is a figure a provider reported to a state training list. Confirm the current quote with the school.

Most registry locations are private-enrollment, meaning they train a company’s own hires. Those locations are counted on state pages and are not listed as schools you can shop. We also do not publish star ratings or reviews, because these files do not include them.

Schools can ask for a featured listing. Featured placements are labeled. Everyone else is ordered by published tuition, not by who paid. For schools.
